today i woke up with the most beautiful light. there was birdsong outside, a streak of light in the kitchen.. spring! and while i realise that it snowed yesterday and will probably snow tomorrow, it feels great. stockholm is so dark during half the year that it’s amazing we even stay alive..

01/03/2009 at 9:56 pmWow. When can I move in? What’s the story with this place? I can see why, in such a northern place that spends so much of the winter in the dark, that you’d want the interior to be as bright as possible. But it’s not only all the white, but the under-furnishing which is key. It adds to the lightness, I think.

01/03/2009 at 4:56 pmWhat a wonderful house in the photos.
That clean, pure, thin white light is something rare. I can imagine it would be difficul holding out through that much winter, though – here in Colorado we have a lot of snow, but also a lot of sun, and the temperatures are relatively mild in winter. Our light is different though – very cheerful, very yellow-and-blue.

01/03/2009 at 10:57 amI can imagine the dark light. Here in the Netherlands it can get pretty dark too. Fortunately, today I also woke up to the sound of birds and with a beautiful lightning. I’m just hoping spring will come soon.
I love the pictures of interior by the way.
