sophie jackson, amal kaawash, tamar hopkins

found these at the central saint martins blog and you guessed it; i love the light, the colors, the feeling… the composition in the first photo is just lovely, the shelf as well. and that light blue color in the painting by sophie jackson.. wonderful! the drawings by tamar hopkins in the last one are mesmerizing and i love how they blend in and stand out at the same time. but my favorite one is probably the third photo of the pita and the raisins (?) by amal kaawash. it’s just so full of emotion and makes me incredibly curious to find out the story behind. perhaps there is none? in that case it makes me eager to create one…

alexander mcqueen spring/summer 2010

alexander-mcqueen-ss2010

favorite (at least since his fall 08 collection!) alexander mcqueen will be displaying his collection today! i am super excited! his collections are usually so well put together and so incredibly inspiring. just the feathered cocoon-like dress from the fall 09 show (as displayed above).. genius! and according to agnes b the collection will be livestreamed.. interesting. especially after all our lectures about interactivity here on school..

anyways: 8.15 pm (paris time) at alexandermcqueen.com. i’ll definitely check it out!

bonjour tristesse, francoise sagan

a little book suggestion for you.. i haven’t finished it myself though, so it’s not the best of reviews but.. i think you’ll like it. the two photos above represent the overall feeling of the book i guess. it’s a short novel written by a 19 year old girl named françoise quoirez in 1954. the name sagan is after a character in marcel prousts in search of lost time..
has anybody else read it? what did you think?
